Did you know that 50 million Americans struggle to find their next meal each and every day? Of those 50 million, 17 million of those are children who go to bed hungry every night. Since its inception in 1914, Coleman Worldwide Moving has prided itself upon being a family-owned organization that encourages community participation amongst its locations.  When presented with the great work performed by Adam Lowy and his Move for Hunger organization, the decision to act was simple.  Hunger is a growing problem that can be solved day by day in many communities.

With all of the hunger and starvation that exists overseas, it is easy to forget the hunger and suffering that still exists here in America. Here are some disheartening facts from the Move for Hunger website:
  • 1.5 million New Yorkers rely on soup kitchens and food pantries
  • 58,000 different people in San Antonio receive emergency food assistance each week
  • 1 in 2 children living in Washington DC go to bed hungry every night. This is our nation’s capital, mind you!
This is why we are pleased to announce that we have committed all of our locations to help participate with this great cause. When receiving a free in-home moving estimate, a customer will be presented a handout and a Move for Hunger bag. The handout will detail the local area food bank that the local location has partnered with and will detail stats pertaining to that community. Here are the first eight locations that will be presenting this program to anyone inquiring about a moving company:
  1. San Diego Movers
  2. Nashville Movers
  3. Dothan Movers
  4. Atlanta Movers
  5. Woodbridge Movers
  6. San Antonio Movers
  7. Houston Movers
  8. Savannah Movers
