During the recent International Association of Movers (IAM) 49 annual meeting in Denver, Colorado, Jeff Coleman, President & CEO of Coleman World Group, was elected as IAM Chairman. The IAM is the largest trade association representing the international moving industry.
At IAM, Jeff has served on the board since 1993, in successive years as Chairman of the Claims Committee, Carrier Relations Committee, Government and Congressional Affairs Committee, IAM Vice Chairman, and served three consecutive terms as IAM Chairman from 2001-2003. He was instrumental in the establishment of the IAM Hall of Honor in 2008. Jeff also served as the first Chairman of the International Shipping Association, and was a catalyst in starting ISA.
“Jeff Coleman's election as IAM's chair is well-timed as the association and the industry seem to be at a critical turning point” stated Terry Head, IAM President. “Jeff's experience operating within the commercial and military/government arenas will benefit all the IAM members regardless of their company's focus.”
Founded in 1962, IAM is a global association of movers and forwarders committed to providing customers with the highest level of service available. IAM has a worldwide membership of over 2,000 companies in more than 170 countries and territories.
