With subzero temperatures this winter, it is important that you are prepared for your moversmoving day.  A cold moving day can be difficult and particularly long if you are not prepared for the frigid temperatures.  Our Baltimore moving company have some tips for you staying on track for your winter move.

Get rid of the ice.  This is the number one most important thing.  Rid your drive way and sidewalks of ice before moving your items.  This keeps you, your movers and your belongings safe while being moved into the moving vans.

Don’t pack things that may freeze.  This is not something you may normally think about, but in the winter some items are more sensitive to the cold weather than others.  Use extra protective covering for items sensitive to the cold.

Protective coverings in your home. The last thing you want is to be tracking snow, salt and ice through your home before you leave.  Have protective covering on your floors and doorways for extra protection from the winter elements.

Have warm refreshments available.  You and your Baltimore movers may get cold during the process.  Having warm refreshments available will be greatly appreciated and help your relocation move along more swiftly.

Keep winter clothes accessible.  Have warm winter clothing like sweaters, jackets, boots, hats and gloves in a clearly labeled and easily accessible box.

Prepare for winter weather driving.  The drive to your new home may take longer than planned with the ice and cold.  Account for this time and make up for some of it by packing some of your boxes yourself.
