Coleman Worldwide Moving via The Coleman Foundation recently honored seven college students with a $1,000 scholarship for the 23rd consecutive year. To qualify for the scholarship, students must have been a son, daughter, or grandchild to a Coleman Worldwide Moving employee. Since the scholarship’s inception in 1999, the company has awarded over $250,000 in scholarships to deserving children and grandchildren of its associates. The scholarship recipients’ education aspirations range through a variety of fields such as computer science, cosmetology, healthcare, and aviation.

The Virginia M. Coleman Memorial Scholarship honors longtime matriarch of the Coleman family and Coleman Worldwide Moving and uses a purpose that hopes to achieve the following: the footprints of great people mark our world and forever change the course of history.  In large ways and in small, artists, authors, explorers all make their mark by the action of their lives.  These leaders are not always world-famous or restricted to the pages of a history book. Often-times, you'll find them teaching at the neighborhood school or working in a soup kitchen.  Some are in our own workplaces and families, setting an example of leadership, hard-work, and empathy.

The footprints of Virginia Coleman are deep and wide. They are found in many places including the family, the community, the workplace, and through the lives of countless friends and acquaintances alike. Follow them and you will trace the steps of a truly remarkable woman. Through her example, from the early days at Coleman Worldwide Moving until the day she died, she taught those around her great courage, wisdom, understanding, and steadfast love.  Virginia Coleman is the embodiment of a single person changing the world with small, but purposeful steps. In her honor, The Coleman Foundation is proud to offer the Virginia M. Coleman annual memorial scholarships.
