Vaile Strawberry Festival | June 7th | Vaile Mansion
Nothing says summer has begun like fresh sweet strawberries. The Strawberry Festival located on the Vaile Mansion grounds is one of the staples of the start of summer with more than 62 flats of strawberries served on pretty much and dessert you can imagine. More than just strawberries this event takes you back to a time of much simpler days and offers you can even pay to admission to see the Vaile Mansion, which is something you don’t want to miss out on. With hundreds of booths you can stroll through antiques, crafts and plants to your hearts content. Free entertainment will also be added throughout the day, this event is truly something to experience.
Dragon Boat Festival and Race | June 14 | Brush Creek on Country Club Plaza
Like nothing you have even seen before the Dragon Boat Festival is one of those events that you are glad you came to see for yourself. The Society for Friendship with China, Inc is the host of this event and in China dragon boat festivals are big events, as well as dragon boat racing which has now become an international sport.
