Ask Your Friends And Family
Ideally, if you can find someone that you already know, you won't have to go through the process of getting to know them and checking their background before they move in. Unless you're moving to Dallas on a wing and a prayer, be sure to ask around with your loved ones to see if there's someone who's in a similar situation as you.
Post Flyers
Head to local hot spots like coffee shops, gyms and other places where people of your age group would congregate. Leave your name, phone number and consider putting a few pictures of the apartment on your flyer. This could make it more intriguing for prospective renters and you may start to get a few phone calls before you know it.
Head Online
Whether you decide to head to Craigslist or another online rental site, this can dramatically open up your pool of potential roommates. This could be ideal for those with busy work schedules, as this can allow an individual to coordinate meetings and other important information through email and messaging, as opposed to doing everything on the phone or face-to-face.
