With the historically enriched Alamo and the joyful pulse of the Riverwalk looming in the distance, the 2010 Allied Van Lines Agent Convention found its home in San Antonio, Texas.  In an event that featured seminars, guest speakers (most notably Super Bowl winning coach, Bill Cowher, and Fox News personality Tucker Carlson), and a little camaraderie at locations such as the Riverwalk and the Buckhorn Saloon, Coleman Worldwide Moving was honored to attend and be represented at Allied’s big end of year blowout.  The event was not just about fun and games, however, as Allied presented its annual awards banquet and rewarded agents for their 2009 accomplishments.

Keith Turner Accepts 2009 Consumer Agent of the Year

Allied Van Lines was established in 1928 and is represented by more than 400 agents in North America. Allied also establishes itself as highly experienced and one of the world’s largest moving companies providing services to consumers, governments, and corporations worldwide. At the close of convention, Allied awards various agents for their successes and uses the awards as a tool to acknowledge an agent’s exceptional contributions to the network and to motivate other agents to keep striving forward.  The awards banquet proved to be especially rewarding for Coleman-Allied who claimed three of the event’s more coveted awards.  The first award presented to Coleman Worldwide Moving acknowledged the company’s quality as Allied’s Most Improved Hauler for 2009.  The Allied network places high standards on their quality department in order to assure that their client’s relocation experience runs smoothly, therefore, to be acknowledged for quality is a huge honor.  This huge achievement in quality was followed up with another award that displays both quality and names Coleman Worldwide as the 2009 SPD Agent of the Year.  SPD stands for Special Products Division which describes shipments that range from items such as motorcycles, antiques, medical equipment, computer systems for large networks, and other unique items that would require special handling during the relocation process.

Finally, Keith Turner, Sr. VP of Sales & Marketing (Pictured Above), graciously accepted the honor of 2009 Consumer Agent of the Year for the second consecutive year.  This award acknowledges the vigorous work that goes into providing customers with the best services available while also recognizing the agent’s growth in variance and volume in total sales. The agent also gets rewarded for its compliance amongst the Allied Network by having an active sales team that goes above and beyond to represent the Allied brand with professionalism.  When asked about winning the award for a second year in a row, Keith Turner stated, “It was a little unexpected to be honored with the award for a second year running, but none of this would be possible without the continuing efforts of our team (at Coleman), and the fantastic help we get from everyone at Allied corporate.  I feel confident about the direction our company is headed and we are focused on working toward overcoming the obstacles of the future.”
