For the most part, things went on schedule. Perhaps the movers could have protected some of the furniture a bit better. One 55" flat scree TV was demolished. We had purchased the insurance. We shall see how that works. Hopefully, the credibility of the company will make the reimbursement process smooth.

Moving with NARFE
I used the NARFE magazine to identify movers that have an interest in serving retired federal employees. The move consultant organized everything quickly and the surveyor from a local moving company did our property survey with WhatsApp. The virtual survey was great considering the virus precautions we are taking.

I am 79 and have not moved in a long time. I was deteremined to pack as much as i couild/to save money. Loyd Wells local representative satisfied all of my needs and questions. I probably called him 15 times and each time he was knowledgeable and patient. He brought me boxes, paper and tape to use and gave me packing trips. I did get estimates from 2 other companies and so very glad that i worked with Allied. Even their truck driver had a great sense of helpfulness and energy. It has been a long time since i have worked with all professionals. Great job ALlied.
