On the north side of town, there are two suburbs that are perfect for families: Frisco and McKinney, Texas.
We’ll start with why you should move to Frisco. Frisco has become an affluent community over the past 15 years. Straight north of the city, it allows an easy commute for those who work downtown. It also has excellent schools and a low crime rate that is well below the national and state averages.
Not only is this a safe community, it is bustling with activities. With indoor trampoline parks, bowling alleys, go cart racing, and more there are plenty of things to do. Not to mention that it is the home of FC Dallas, the Major League Soccer team.
Frisco’s next-door-neighbor is McKinney, Texas. McKinney has similar demographics and has been growing since the 90s. This affluent community prides itself on being ranking “#1 Best Place to Live in America” in Money Magazine’s 2010 list. This town hasn’t stopped there either.
With a wide variety of shops and restaurants, its historic downtown is far from quiet. They have a declining rate of crime that is below the national and state average. Their schools offer excellent resources for college prep.
Both towns offer culture and country charm that makes it inviting and gives you plenty of options for activities. While moving can be an intimidating, you can't go wrong with either choice. Whether you move to McKinney or Frisco, you will find a great place to call home.
