Coleman Allied Moving Services, agent for Allied Van Lines, places importance on being active within the many communities where it provides a variety of full service relocation needs. In the past, the company has been involved in honor rides, local parades, food drives and countless other community requests in Coleman’s over 100 years of existence. The 2014 holiday season witnessed one of the more active seasons of community involvement to date.

2014 marked another year in which Coleman assisted with relocating hundreds of bikes to foster children for the Phillip’s Bicycles for Foster Kids group. The driver that delivered these Huffy Bicycles for the children received many handmade cards created by the children as a token of their appreciation. This delivery has taken place for over five years and always delivers a heartwarming story or an interesting token that the driver or crew shares after the job is completed.

The year will also prove to be Coleman Allied's strongest year in its partnership with Move for Hunger. In December, various locations helped participate throughout the month with collecting and donating over 14,000 pounds of food to local area food banks that will provide over 11,600 meals to individuals and families that share a need.  Some of the markets that participated in delivering food to local food banks included Atlanta, Dothan, Ft. Lauderdale, Lawton, Orlando and San Diego.  The efforts taken hope to provide a means for all U.S. cities to get one step closer to achieving a permanent resolution to the country’s domestic hunger problem.

As 2014 has proven to be another strong year for both moving and giving, Coleman Allied hopes to continue to expand its efforts in delivering top notch quality to countless families throughout 2015 and the many years to follow.
